The first tire manufactured in Guanajuato marks the beginning of a new era in the tire industry.
The Aztema plant has manufactured its first tire in Mexico, marking the beginning of its technical operation. This step represents the formal start of the calibration phase, with the objective of starting series production in the coming months.
Designed to manufacture semi-steel radial tires for light vehicles, the plant is equipped with advanced technology and automated processes. Once fully operational, Aztema projects an annual capacity of up to 6 million tires, which will enable it to meet domestic demand and consolidate its presence in the international market.
A firm step towards the consolidation of an international operation
The production start-up took place last Saturday, May 31, with the presence of representatives of the companies involved and the technical team responsible for the start-up. This first phase is key to ensure the quality and efficiency standards required by the global market.
Aztema is emerging as a new player in the tire industry with a clear focus: to position Mexico as a strategic production and export platform. In the medium term, the goal is to establish commercial relationships with automotive manufacturers, distributors and international markets, thus strengthening the supply chain from the country.
The production of this first tire not only symbolizes the beginning of an industrial operation: it represents a long-term commitment to technological development, local talent and Mexico's potential as a reliable and competitive manufacturing base.
